Wintervals 2019/20

Running training for all abilities
Get expert advice on when, how and why to train

It's that time of year already... Wintervals are back!

It's a great place to keep fit and conditioned, train with a group, get advice on technique and be coached through different sessions to help improve your speed, strength and endurance.

The sessions are designed for runners of all abilities; each session will consist of 2 parts.
Part 1 will focus on technique, drills and good practice.
Part 2 will be a more physically demanding and will be a unique session aimed at targeting a specific area such as Speed, Endurance or Strength.

Our sessions are based on time (opposed to distance) meaning everyone exercises for the same length of time irrelevant of speed - making it suitable for all abilities.

What are the main aims of Wednesday Wintervals?
-To improve your technique and fitness
-Give you confidence in your running
-Provide a friendly and positive environment for you to train in during winter
-Try to answer any questions you have regarding all things running

Wednesday Wintervals will be run on every Wednesday this year (exlud. 25th Dec & 1st Jan). Each session works out as £5 each but booking is done in month blocks.

Group sizes are limited to 18 per session.
Wintervals this year will be every Wednesday with block booking for each month
(NB No session on the 25th of Dec or 1st Jan)

Wednesday Wintervals will always meet at Hunters Bar Roundabout entrance to Endclifee Park at 6.30pm. From here we'll jog to the session location - This will take around 5 minutes. Each session will last between 60-70 minutes.

The sessions will be based on a range of surfaces but will predominantly be tarmac or grass.

The 1st part will be technique and drill based.
The 2nd part will be more taxing on the legs and lungs.

There is limited availability - places must be booked in advance!
The sessions are designed so they are suitable for all abilities:

Whether you're running a 30 minute or 20 minute Park Run, run on or off road, want to improve your technique and form or just have a group to train with Summer Fell Training is for you.

The sessions are based on time so speed & fitness are irrelevant.
(We do ask that you're able to run the 5-10 minutes to and from the training location (it will never be more than 1 mile))

We meet at Hunters Bar Roundabout for a 6.30pm departure.
If you have any questions about the location please contact myRaceKit on 0114 2669591
